Introduction
This KB article provides information for how to withdraw from the University. Students who wish to no longer be a student or choose not to attend Empire State University must complete this form. If you choose to come back to SUNY Empire, you will have to reapply and be accepted to the University.
Please note: if you are withdrawing completely from the University and are currently registered in courses, you must first withdraw from those courses before your withdrawal from the university can be processed. To withdraw from the University, students must complete the Withdrawal from University Form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar. Please ensure the form is completed and submitted to initiate the university withdrawal process.
A direct link to the form is included above, or you can navigate to it by going to MySUNYEmpire. Then select "View All Cards" and search for "Office of the Registrar" and select "Registrar Resources."

Click Forms.

Locate and click on the "Withdrawal from University" form.

Submission details are listed on the form. Complete all required fields and select the "Click to sign" button.

Once your form is processed by the Office of the Registrar, you will receive a copy of the completed form.
