How to View the Video Quiz Analytics Report in Learnscape

Discover how to make the most of the Video Quiz Analytics Report in Learnscape. This article shows you how to review quiz performance, participant scores, question responses, and attempts, while also using filters and export tools to better understand your results.

Access the Analytics Dashboard

The analytics dashboard provides information about quiz submissions, participant scores, and responses to individual questions. 

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the user menu and select My Media.
  2. Find the quiz media entry you want to review, then select the Analytics icon on the far right.
  3. The Video Analytics page will open.

Video Analytics Tab

The Video Analytics tab provides overall data for everyone who has completed the quiz.

Adjust the Time Period

  • Use the date selector in the upper-right corner to choose a specific reporting period.

Filter the Results

  • Select Filter to narrow the information shown on the page.

Export the Data

  • Select Export, then choose one or more data sets from the drop-down menu.
    • The selected reports will be downloaded as CSV files.

Quiz Questions Tab

The Quiz Questions tab shows how participants answered each question. From this tab, you can review responses, add notes to open-ended answers, and export or print responses for individual questions.

View Responses

  • Select the Quiz Questions tab.
  • Select the arrow to the left of a question to expand it and view responses from all participants.

Add Notes

Notes can be added only to open-ended responses after a participant has submitted an answer.

  1. Select the arrow to the left of the question to expand it.
  2. Under the participant’s response, select Add Note.
  3. Enter your note, then select Add.
    • The note will appear beneath the participant’s answer.

Edit or Delete a Note

  1. Locate the note you want to change.
  2. Select Edit below the note.
  3. Make the required changes, then select Update.
  4. To remove the note, locate it and select Delete.

Export or Print Responses

  • Select Export to CSV or Printable Version beside the question.
    • Participants may be able to view notes added by the quiz owner.

Quiz Users Tab

The Quiz Users tab displays participant attempts and scores.

Each participant record includes the following information:

  • Users: Select a participant’s name to view additional details.
  • Attempt Number: Shows all submitted attempts in date order, with the most recent attempt listed first. If multiple attempts have not been enabled by the administrator, the entry will appear as Attempt: 1/1. For instructions on enabling multiple attempts, refer to the article Set Up a Video Quiz.
  • Submission Date: Shows the date on which the attempt was submitted.
  • Attempt Score: Displays the score earned on each individual attempt.
  • Final Score: The final result depends on the quiz settings:
    • When only one attempt is permitted, the final score is the score from that attempt.
    • When multiple attempts are permitted, the final score is calculated using the selected scoring rule, such as Highest, Latest, First, Lowest, or Average Attempt. Scores are recorded when each attempt is submitted, so the displayed final score may differ between attempts.
  • Action: Select the trash can icon to remove all attempts for that participant.
  • Show More: Select this button to display additional attempts.

Note: Participants who complete the quiz without signing in are grouped together and shown as one anonymous user.
