How to Find Academic Support

Introduction

Students who are seeking tutoring in person, online, or through a peer tutor.

Log in to MySUNYEmpire and click on Academic Support. Here, you’ll see these options:

Tutoring Options

• Select SUNY Empire State Learning Coaches for professional tutoring. To request an appointment, email academic.support@sunyempire.edu.
• Select SUNY Empire State Peer Tutoring. To request a peer tutor, submit a peer tutor request form.

• Select TutorMe for free, online tutoring available 24/7

Please Note: Beginning May 4th, 2020 TutorMe is replacing the Smarthinking online tutoring service. However, if you have been using Smarthinking in the spring term, it will be available to you through June 30. To access Smarthinking, go to services.smarthinking.com and use your Smarthinking log-in.  

Register for Online Workshops

• Select this link and complete the Academic Support Request Form, selecting from the list of workshops listed.

Jumpstart

• This is a program with multiple workshops to help you navigate the business of being a student. Workshops like Balancing School, Family and Work, Creating an Assignment Schedule and more. Select Jumpstart for the online schedule and click the link on the page to join. No registration required.
