In this article, we will explore the information that you need to know about receiving your Mentor Assignment.

 


 

Your Mentor Assignment

 

You must first complete both your orientation and your first-term course registration before you're assigned your mentor. Your mentor selection is based upon information you provided about your location and career plans. You will receive your mentor’s name and contact information via email from our Office of Mentor Services:

MySUNYEmpire Portal: Locating Your Mentor

You can also find your mentor assignment via MySUNYEmpire. 
Click on the Self-Service Banner icon,

Then, click on Student Profile

Your mentor assignment is next to Primary Advisor on the bottom left of your Student Profile.

You can click on the mentor name to email them directly from Self-Service Banner.

Mentor Relationship Summary 

 Your mentor will: 

· Serve as a valuable resource for questions, guidance, and advice regarding your academic goals 

· Help make sure your educational experience works with your needs, lifestyle, and academic goals 

· Work with you to design your degree
