Introduction
Students are allowed to request an advance of their pending, authorized federal financial aid by submitting an application to the Student Accounts office.
How to Request an Advance on Pending Excess Financial Aid
From MySUNYEmpire, click on Student Accounts

In the Quicklinks section, click on Advance on Pending Excess Financial Aid.

Reading through all the important information here, you'll see the application .pdf. Click on it and fill it out. Submission details are in the application.

Note: In order to qualify for an advance, a student must have a pending credit balance against their financial aid, and must not have an outstanding balance from a previous term.
Additionally: Approved balances will be distributed through BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. A refund method must be selected to receive funds. If you still need to select your refund preference, visit the BankMobile Disbursements website.
