Introduction

Snipping Tool is a handy little application that allows you to take a snapshot of all or part of what is on your computer screen.


The snipping tool can be found in the Accessories group. You can also open snipping tool by single-clicking the Windows Start button in the lower left corner of your screen. In the "Search programs and files" box, type "Snipping Tool", and then, in the list of results, single-click on Snipping Tool to open the program.

To make the Snipping Tool really handy to access in the future, you can right-click on it when it appears in the start menu list of results and then choose either "Pin to Task bar" or "Pin to Start Menu" (or both).
