Silktide Overview

Introduction

Silktide is the university's web content analysis tool. The university's previous tool/vendor was Siteimprove. T4 users receive monthly Web Quality Assurance reports that include analytics and recommendations to improve content readability, accessibility, and user experience. All site Stewards and Maintainers are responsible for ensuring their pages comply with the EITA policy.

Each page's report has a Dashboard available for users to review additional report details, access how-to guides, and utilize Silktide's integration with T4.

This article provides an overview of how to get started on the platform and the support resources available.

Logging into Silktide

  1. Go to SUNY Empire's Silktide portal login: https://app.us.silktide.com/sunyesu/.
  2. Enter your SUNY Empire email address ending in @sunyempire.edu in the text box.
  3. Click the "Continue" button.

Accessing Silktide Academy

  1. Click on the "Profile" icon.
  2. Select the "Academy" option.
