Introduction
This article will give you an overview on how to upload and edit media in LEARNscape.
Uploading Videos
- Select Add New and then Upload Media in the toolbar.

- Choose the media you would like to upload. Please note, large video files may take a longer time to upload.
- Fill in the name of the Media.
- Enter a description for the media.
- Add any relevant tags.
- Select Save.

- After selecting save, change the publishing settings to the appropriate channel the video should appear in. Please note, you cannot change the publishing status until the media has been saved with all of the required information listed above.

- Select Save again.
- To view your media, select Go to Media.
Editing Videos
- Select My Media in the toolbar to view the videos you own.
- Find the video you would like to edit and select the pencil icon.

- Scroll down to the editing panel, from there you should have access to change a variety of items such as:
- Description: A brief summary of the media content.
- Tags: Keywords related to the media to improve searchability.
- Creative Commons: Licensing information for the media (optional).

- Publishing Options: Determines which channels the media will be visible on.

- Options: Settings to disable comments and discussions, and to allow or restrict clip creation from the video.

- Thumbnails: Upload an image to serve as the primary visual for the media.

- Captions: Upload or update caption files to ensure accessibility.

- Attachments: Add any relevant supporting documents or files.

- Timeline: Create chapters or slides that synchronize with the media playback.

- Replace Media: Use this section to update or replace the media file.

- Select Save to save your edits.
Best Practices
- Ensure that the automated captioning is correct and update them in the caption editing section if they are incorrect.

- If you need to replace or edit your media at any point, ensure you select Save so your work is not lost.
