Note: The Board of Regents does not approve correspondence study, including online, as equivalent to a high school diploma for NYS residents.

Correspondence study and on-line diplomas are not valid for individuals who were NYS residents at the time they received the online diploma.

The individual would need to have been a resident of the state issuing the online diploma at the time they earned the diploma, where such online high school is recognized by that state.
