Introduction

Kaltura Media Space (KMS GO) is a mobile app that allows users to interact with and upload LEARNscape media directly from their mobile devices. KMS GO useful for uploading videos that were taken with your phone camera. This article details how to install and get started using the app on an iOS device or Android device.

Installing the KMS GO

1. Open your device's App store (Apple App Store on an iOS device, Google Play on an Android device) and search for Kaltura MediaSpace Go or KMS GO.
2. Install the Kaltura MediaSpace Go app (tap Get on an iOS device or Install on an Android device).

   

3. After the app finishes installing, enter learn.sunyempire.edu into the URL field.

   

4. Tap Submit and you will be brought to the LEARNscape homepage.

Uploading Media on an Android Device

To complete the following steps, make sure that the KMS Go app is installed on your Android device and that you are logged in.

1. Select the Upload option located in the bottom menu.

   

2. Choose a File to Upload.
   


3. Your device will give you the option to Choose an Action. Select the appropriate option, Gallery, Photos, or Camera,Camcorder.
   


4. Find and select your video or create a new video. This will start the upload process.
   


5. Complete the fields for Title, Description and Tags. You must enter these to make a published video viewable.
   


6. Select Update. If the upload was successful, you will see a message, Your changes have been saved, at the top.

After following the above steps, when you use the LEARNscape browser on a laptop or desktop, you will find your newly published video in your MyMedia collection.

Uploading Media on an iOS Device

To complete the following steps, make sure KMS GO is installed on you iOS device and that you are logged in.

1. Select the Upload icon on the bottom toolbar.
   


2. Your phone will give you the option to Take Media From. Select the appropriate option, Camera , Gallery, or Cloud. Camera will open the phone camera to start a new video. Gallery will open your Photos app. Cloud will take from your phone’s Files area.
   


3. Find and select your video or create you video. Then, select Choose. This will start to compress the video. 
4. Enter the title , and select Done.
   


5. Select the Upload button. Once uploaded, the video will sync into My Media collection.
   


6. Then, it will appear a prompt asking if you would like to publish.
   


7. When you select Yes , a new screen will appear where you can update the title, add a description, and modify the Publish settings.
   

   Important: To ensure your published video is viewable, you must provide both a description and tags, and set the video's visibility to private.

8. Select Update to start processing the media, and it will be added back to your My Media collection.

After following the above steps, when you use the LEARNscape browser on a laptop or desktop, you will find your newly published video in your MyMedia collection.
