Introduction
Brightspace allows course administrators and faculty to hide graded assignments from student view.
Hide Grade Items
- On the navbar, select Grades from the Course Menu option.
- Select the Manage Grades link.

Identify the category or item that needs to be hidden from students. Select the carrot icon just to the right of the category or item name and from the context menu, select Hide from Users.
Note: You can also edit a grade item, access the Restrictions tab, and select the Hide from Users checkbox.
Show Grade Items
- On the navbar, select Grades from the Course Menu option
- Select the Manage Grades link.
- Identify the category or item that needs to be hidden from students. Select the carrot icon just to the right of the category or item name and from the context menu, select Make Visible to Users.
Note: You can also edit a grade item, access the Restrictions tab, and deselect the Hide from Users checkbox.
Bulk Update Grade Items
- On the navbar, select Grades from the Course Menu option.
- Select the Manage Grades link. When the page loads, select the checkbox for any item you want to change the visibility of.
- Select the More Actions button, and select Make Visible to Users or Hide from Users.
