Tracking Primary Mentees

This article will explain the various ways you can keep track of your primary advisees using the Banner Self-Service system.

1. Navigate with your browser to my.sunyempire.edu

2. Login in with your SUNY Empire credentials, the same information you use for your email and other SUNY Empire administrative systems. If you have forgotten your password or the password does not work, you can find instructions on how to reset your password below the login prompt.

3. Once you land on the MySUNYEmpire faculty homepage, navigate to Banner Self Service (log in again if prompted)

4. Click Faculty Services.

From the Faculty Services screen, there are multiple options depending on what information you are looking for.

If you would like to see a list of advisees by term or detailed information about a particular student:

1) Navigate to “Advising Student Profile”

2) You will be asked to search by term

3) Then you will have the option to search for a specific student or to view a list of advisees for that term by clicking “View My Advisee Listing”.

If you choose “View My Advisee Listing” you will see the following screen.

Here, you can see a list of your advisee's along with their major, academic standing, status, holds and more.

4) To see details for a specific student, click on their name in the list. This will give you the same screen as searching for the student individually in Step 3.

Here you can view their basic student information, current curriculum, current registered courses, advisors, and academic transcript.

If you would like to see an overall list of your advisee's:

1. Navigate from the Banner homepage to the Mentee Registration Status page.

2. On this page you will be able to see a list of your mentees (name and id number along with a link to their student profile), whether or not they are registered for the chosen term, and whether or not they have a plan set in Plan Ahead for that term.
