Introduction
This article is written for Windows and Mac computers.
Sometimes, text is too small to read or a webpage is too large to navigate properly on your screen. In these cases it's useful to know how to adjust the displayed size of a webpage to make reading and / or navigating easier.
To Increase the Size of a Webpage
If you find that text or other elements of a page are too small to view properly you can quickly increase the size of the webpage by using the following key combination:
Windows: Hold the Control (Ctrl) key and tap the Plus (+) key
Mac: Hold the Command (⌘) key and tap the Plus (+) key
Each time you tap the Plus (+) key the page will incrementally increase in size.
To Shrink the Size of a Webpage
If you have increased the size of the page too much, or your screen is simply too small and you're finding that parts of the page aren't fitting onto your screen properly, you can shrink the page to fit your screen better with the following key combination:
Windows: Hold the Control (Ctrl) key and tap the Minus (-) key
Mac: Hold the Command (⌘) key and tap the Minus (-) key
Each time you tap the minus (-) key the elements on the page will incrementally decrease in size making the whole page easier to view on your screen.
To Return a Page to Normal Size
If you have changed the size of a page and would like to return it to normal, you can do so with the following key combination:
Windows: Hold the Control (Ctrl) key and tap the Zero (0) key
Mac: Hold the Command (⌘) key and tap the Zero (0) key
This key combination will return your page to it's default size (100%)
