Introduction
The secure world-wide internet connectivity service, eduroam, allows students, faculty, staff, and guests from participating institutions to connect securely to the internet. Using your SUNY Empire credentials, the SUNY Empire community can obtain secure internet access while at our locations, as well as other participating institutions and locations across the U.S. that support eduroam.

Where to Find Participating eduroam Locations
All of SUNY Empire's locations are now eduroam locations it and can also be found at multiple universities in the United States, as well as abroad.

How to Connect to eduroam
Follow these general steps to connect to eduroam location site, using your computer or mobile devices:
- On your Internet enabled device, open the WiFi settings
- In the list of available networks, select the eduroam network
- When prompted for your username and password:
- For username, enter your SUNY Empire username ( Students: first_lastname###@sunyempire.edu, Faculty & Staff: first.lastname@sunyempire.edu)
- For password, enter your current SUNY Empire password
- You may be prompted to accept a security certificate the first time you log into an eduroam network. You will need to accept the security certificate to connect to the eduroam network.
