Introduction
If you are having difficulty accessing the Global Protect VPN you may need to update the Global Protect VPN settings. Please see below to ensure your GlobalProtect client is configured to use the correct connection.
Access GlobalProtect
- Open the up carrot (^) in your system tray to the left of the time. In the icons that pop up, you should see a grayed-out Globe icon with a red X
- Click on the Globe

- Select the three lines (known as the hamburger) in the upper right corner:

- Select Settings

- Check the Portals on the General Tab in the GlobalProtect Settings window:
- If you see vpn2.esc.edu, proceed to step 6 below.
- If it is blank or if it lists afterburner.vpn.esc.edu, then you will need to Add a New Portal
Add a New Portal
- Click the Add button

- Enter vpn2.esc.edu
- Click Save

- Select afterburner.vpn.esc.edu
- Click the Delete Button twice
- Click the Sign Out Button then click OK to the pop up window

- Close the Settings window
- Open the Globe icon again in the system tray/li>
- Select Connect
- If prompted, login with your @sunyempire.edu credentials
