How to Access and use Manager Dashboard in Brightspace

Go to the Brightspace home page at https://myclasses.sunyempire.edu.

In the nav bar, select “Employee Training Homepage”. If you don’t see that item, look for an item labeled “More” and the “Employee Training Homepage” link should appear in a dropdown menu.

In the nav bar on the Employee Training Homepage, select “Manager Dashboard”.

This will bring you to your main Manager Dashboard view which will list your direct reports. If you don’t have any direct reports, you will see a message indicating that. If you are supposed to have direct reports, but you don’t see any in your Manager Dashboard view, please submit a support ticket.

The main Manager Dashboard view has two main tabs, “People”, which will list your direct reports, and “Learning” which will list all of the courses that your direct reports are enrolled in.

The People tab

Each of your direct report names is a link that you can select in order to see what that individuals’ progress is. When you select a user's link, you will be shown the Manager View for that user which has two tabs, one for Active Learning and one for Completed Learning. The Active Learning tab shows courses that haven’t been started or that are in progress.

The Completed Learning tab shows courses that the learner has completed.

The Learning tab

The Learning tab lists the courses that your direct reports are enrolled in.

When you select a course, you will see which of your subordinates are enrolled in that course and their progress. Please do not use the “Assign People” button. If you would like someone enrolled in a course, please submit a support ticket. The DLE team manages all enrollments.

Exporting Reports

On the main Manager Dashboard page, you can select the “Reports” button, Then select “Completion Report” in the drop down menu that appears and this will download a .csv file with your direct reports training progress.
