Create a Link
You can add a link to a Module or sub-module.
Create a new link
- At the Course Home select the Course Menu navbar, then select Content.
(Note: if you are in the Table of Contents view you can proceed to step 2)
- The table of contents view will load.
- In the Table of Contents panel, click on the module in which you want to create a new link.
- Select Upload/Create then select Create a Link
- If you are using sub-modules you may see multiple Upload/Create buttons. Choose the one appropriate for where you would like to add the Link.
- The Create a Link creation form will open.
- Enter a title
- A best practice is to use the actual web page title in the link title
- Enter a URL
- Check the open as external resource for pages outside of the course e.g. public web pages.
- Choose Create to save your work and return to the content view.
Delete a Link
Note: If you are already in the Table of Contents view, you can proceed to step 2.
- From the Course Home, select the Course Menu navbar, then Content.
- The Table of Contents view will load.
- In the Table of Contents panel, locate the module that contains the link you want to delete and select it.
- Find the link within the module.
- Choose the dropdown arrow next to the link title and select Delete.
- A window will appear for you to choose whether to remove from the Content view only or permanently delete from the course.
- Note: Best practice is to Remove from Content view only as it is set by default.
- Select Delete to remove the link from the course.
- A confirmation message will appear at the bottom of your screen.
