Overview
Program Basics:
- The purpose of the Chromebook Pilot Program is to provide sustainable, affordable access to technology, thus reducing barriers to student success at an online institution.
- The Chromebook Pilot Program has been offered since Spring 2025.
- First term students can currently purchase a Chromebook for $100.
- To date more than 1600 Chromebooks have been ordered and shipped to students (as of 09/30/2026), meaning that a growing share of students now complete their coursework using a Chromebook.

Device Models:
Depending on inventory, students currently receive either (this is subject to change if models are updated):
- HP Chromebook 14" with Touchscreen FortisG1i14 N150 14 4GB/32 PC with HP 3 year Onsite w/ADP Notebook warranty
- Dell Chromebook 3120, Intel(R) Processor N100(6MB cache, 4 cores, 4 threads, up to 3.40 GHz Turbo, 4.80W), 4GB Memory, 64GB EMMC with 4 year mail in warranty
