Apply for the NYS APTS Grant

Introduction

Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS) is a New York State grant program for matriculated undergraduate students attending school for 3-11 credits per term; graduate students and non-matriculated students are not eligible. The following is a visual aid in how to locate the application.

 


 

Log in to MySUNYEmpire

 

From the Student Home, scroll down and click on Financial Aid.

On the Financial Aid home page, click on Apply for APTS

Here you can review the pdf about APTS eligibility and income limits. When you are ready to proceed, click on Apply for Aid for Part Time Study

This brings you to the opening page for Financial Aid Online Forms.

 

Next, select the Aid for Part Time Study Application for the appropriate aid year (which ever year is current). Note: If you already started the application but need to finish it at a later time, you can access it here.

Select the appropriate aid year to create your application form

 

All you need to do now is complete the application and, if applicable, provide your NYS taxes (IT-201) for the appropriate year (2023-2024 will require 2021 tax form, 2024-2025 will require 2022, etc.). Send your taxes via email or fax to the Office of Financial Aid: financialaid@sunyempire.edu, (518) 580-4863.

Important Note: Please be sure when sending the IT-201 that you include your hand-written signature in the appropriate space on page 4, as shown below:
