Introduction
While students are auto-enrolled in their courses at Empire State University, there are some optional trainings (e.g. the University's Student Brightspace training and the Student Turnitin Portal) available for students to self-enroll in through the "Discover" tool. This article reviews how to look up and self-enroll in a course through "Discover."
Find a Course Through Discover
- Open the SUNY Empire Dashboard at brightspace.sunyempire.edu.
- Click on the "Discover" option on the Navigation Bar at the top of the Dashboard.
- Select a training from the initial list displayed on the Discover page, or click "View all" to see additional options.
- Please note: if you know the name of your training, use the Search bar at the top of the Discover page.
Self-Enroll in a Course
- Go to a course available through Discover.
- Click the "Enroll in this course" button, a confirmation window will open when enrollment is complete.
- Click the "Ok" button to close the enrollment confirmation.
- Select the "Open Course" button to view the course.
- Note: the course will now appear in your "My Courses" widget on your Dashboard.
