Adding and Deleting Modules

Adding a Module if Your Course has Existing Modules

  1. On the Course Home page, click the title of any module.

  2. The table of contents and the module contents will be displayed.
  3. Click in the Add a module... box at the bottom of the Table of Contents menu and type the name of the module.

  4. Tap the Enter key on your keyboard and the new Module will be created.

Adding a Module to a New (Blank) Course with No Content

  1. On the Course Home page, select "Content" in the Course Menu.

  2. The table of contents and the Overview will be displayed.
  3. Click in the Add a module... box at the bottom of the Table of Contents menu and type the name of the module.

  4. Tap the Enter key on your keyboard and the new Module will be created.

Changing the Order of the Modules

  1. In the table of contents view, click with your mouse and hold on the dotted bar to the left of the module.
  2. Drag the Module to the desired location on the list (a line will appear indicating the new location), release the mouse button.

Delete a Module

  1. In the table of contents view, click with your mouse and hold on the downward arrow to the right of the module name.
  2. Choose Delete Module
  3. Use the default setting: Remove the module and all nested modules and topics from Content but keep all associated files and activities in the course.
    1. Note: If you plan to use any items in the module in another part of the course, it is more efficient to move them to the new locations before deleting the Module. Once the Module is deleted, you would need to add the Modules items one at a time manually into a new location. 
  4. Click the Delete Button.
