Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install the Cloudflare WARP client.
Installing Cloudflare WARP Client

- Download the Client:
- Go to Company Portal (windows PC) or Jamf (Mac) on your SUNY Empire Device and download the appropriate installer for your operating system (Windows, macOS).
- Run the Installer:
- Double-click Cloudflare WARP and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Launch the Application:
- Once installed, open the Cloudflare WARP application from your applications menu or start menu.
- Accept Terms and Conditions:
- When you first launch the application, you will be prompted to accept the terms and conditions. Read through them and click "Accept" to proceed.
- Connect to WARP:
- Click the "Connect" button within the application to activate the WARP service. This will route your internet traffic through Cloudflare's network, providing enhanced security and performance.
- Verify Connection:
- To ensure that WARP is working correctly, you can visit a website like 1.1.1.1/help, which will show you the status of your connection and confirm that your traffic is being routed through Cloudflare.
- Using WARP:
- Once connected, you can continue to use your internet as usual. The WARP client will run in the background, providing you with a secure and private connection.
- If you connect to a blocked malicious site, you will get a browser error and a message like this.

- If you click more information it will take you to a website that says the URL is blocked and why.
