Introduction
This article outlines how to share media within LEARNscape and how to share LEARNscape media in Brightspace.
Sharing Settings in LEARNscape
To publish and share a video in LEARNscape:
- Select the media you would like to edit.
- Select Actions, then select Edit.

- Under Publish, choose how you would like to publish your video:
- Private – Media page is visible only to the content owner.
- Unlisted – Media page is visible to anyone with the link.
- Published – Media page is visible to users based on entitlements and the destinations selected below.

- Select Save.
After saving, select the Share button and choose your preferred sharing method. Note: If you use the hyperlink or embedded code to share, viewer analytics will not be captured.

Sharing Media in Brightspace
These options allow the video owner to access detailed analytics within LEARNscape—for example, who viewed the video, when it was viewed, and how much was watched.
Option 1: Sharing Media on a Blank Web Page
To share media on an existing page or within an assignment or discussion prompt:
- Navigate to the area where you want to share the media.
- Select the Insert Stuff button.

- Select Embed LEARNscape Media to open your media library.

- Choose the media you want to share.
- Select Embed.

- On the next page, you will see a preview of the video that has been selected. If it all looks correct, select the Insert button.

- When all edits have been finished on the page, select the Save and Close button.

Option 2: Sharing as a Standalone Piece of Content
To share media as a standalone content item:
- Navigate to the module where you want the media to appear.
- Select Existing Activities.
- Select Embed LEARNscape Media.

- Choose the media you want to share.
- Select Embed.

- The media selected will now appear at the bottom of the module’s content page.
