Introduction
If you are unable to access Brightspace using your SUNY Empire credentials, or think there may be an issue with your account, please submit a service desk ticket. If you would like your own Brightspace sandbox, please submit a service desk ticket.
Accessing Brightspace
- Navigate to Brightspace (if you are trying to access Summer 2024 courses, log into the SUNY-wide instance or if you are trying to access Fall 2024 courses, log into the SUNY Empire site.)
- The Brightspace DLE can also be accessed via the MySUNYEmpire homepages.
- From the Faculty homepage, the link is located under the Faculty Resources block: Brightspace Digital Learning Environment.
- From the Staff homepage, the link is located under the Staff Resources block: Brightspace Digital Learning Environment.
- Enter your SUNY Empire username and password.

- Click Login.
You should now be brought to the Empire State University Brightspace homepage.
Please Note: Users must use a Brightspace supported browser for the best experience, and/or clear the browser cache to complete sign on.
If users see a login page indicating “Network login,” they can use this page to log back into Brightspace if you have logged out of Brightspace or your account has timed out (e.g., been inactive for an extended period).
