Introduction
Microsoft Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) is the new password utility the university uses for password account management.
With Microsoft SSPR, anyone with a university account can reset, unlock or change their password any time of day and from any device, without having to contact the IT Service Desk.
SSPR also provides security for your password and the password reset process.
Employees and Students have up to 4 methods available for resetting your password and keeping your data secure. We recommend using at least two methods, such as the Microsoft Authenticator App and phone, or email and phone in case one method is not available to you at anytime.
The first step to use SSPR is to register at aka.ms/ssprsetup You can return to this link at any time to update and manage your authentication methods.
All Employees of the university must register at least one contact method that is not your university email. This can be one of the options listed below, where at a one-time security code can be sent, to verify you and to reset your password. We do recommend adding one additional authentication method, such as a cell phone or authentication app, in order to have multiple methods to reset your password.
The registration methods available are:
1- Personal email (ie. @gmail.com)
2- Mobile phone, for SMS texting (please note data and texting rates may apply)
3- Microsoft Authenticator App
4- Additional Phone, for automated phone call code
How To Register :
- Type aka.ms/ssprsetup in your browser. At the Microsoft landing page:
- Enter your current university username (i.e., your university email address).
- Enter you university username and password at our university login page.
