Adding Senders to the Safe Senders List in Outlook

Adding senders to the Safe Senders list in the Outlook client application

  1. On the Ribbon, from the Home tab, select the Junk icon.

  2. From the drop-down list, select Junk E-mail Options.
  3. Select the Safe Sender tab.

  4. Click Add.
  5. In the dialog box, type an email address or domain.

  6. Click OK.
  7. You might also want to check the following:
    • "also trust email from my contacts"
    • "Automatically all people i email to safe senders list"
  8. Click Apply to save your changes. Emails from this sender will now be prevented from automatically going to your Junk Email folder.

Adding senders to the Safe Senders list in the Outlook Web App

  1. Sign into www.office.com
  2. Open Outlook.
  3. Click the gear icon in the upper right.

  1. Click on View all Outlook settings.

  1. Click Junk Email and click on Add.

  1. Type the mail address or domain of the sender and hit enter when finished.

  1. Click on Save to finish.

Sometimes mail goes into a Quarantine state because the message is potentially dangerous. Only release emails from quarantine that you know to be safe. If you do not release a message from the Quarantine, it will automatically be deleted after 30 days
