Search For SUNY Empire Evaluations

The SUNY Empire PLE Search tool is designed to help you find evaluations and other relevant information. There are three ways to find see what is available:

1. Choose from the list on the SUNY Empire PLE page.

The evaluations are categorized by topics like “Business” or “Law Enforcement” to help you find what you're looking for more easily. There is also a category for “Uncommon Evaluations.” You can browse the evaluations by clicking on the arrow to the left of the category.

To the left of the word "Business," an arrow is circled. Now that the arrow has been pressed, a list of business-related training programs have appeared.

Once you find a topic or title that interests you, click on it.

This will take you to the PLE Search page. If there are multiple topics under the same title, click on the correct title or date to find the specific information you need. The example below lists two separate course titles offered by the National Retail Foundation. For detailed information about the evaluation, click on the link to the course title.

If there is only one entry, the link will take you directly to the equivalency page. This page will list the number of credits, the level (introductory/advanced), and whether it is considered liberal or non-liberal. It will also explain how you can document this learning (Verification Requirements). For example, the equivalency page for the evaluation of the DMV New Employee training program looks like this:

2. Search for Evaluations at the PLE Search Website

You can also search the PLE Search website for SUNY Empire PLEs, as well as some of the more common ACE and NCCRS evaluations. Start by going to https://plesearch.sunyempire.edu :

You can search by keywords. For example, you could enter “peer” in the keyword to see all evaluations that are related to peer advocacy.  This will bring up a list of titles, organizations, and dates for each related evaluation.  Find the evaluation that you completed (be sure that you completed the learning in between the “Begin” and “End” dates) and click on the title to see more information.

"Peer" is typed in to the "Keywords" search box on the PLESearch webpage. In the results, the Begin and End dates on the right are circled.

Another way to search is by tags like “Healthcare” or “Emergency Services.”
